Hang Pygmy 2 Days

This newly added trek (early 2018) will send you to remote areas of the park which will lead you to Hang Pygmy and Hang Over caves. In fact, less people have been through those 2 caves than have stood on Mt Everest.

Activities:

  • 20km of Jungle Trekking over 2 days
  • Explore Hang Pygmy Cave & Hang over cave
  • Cave ascending & rock scrambling
  • Camp overnight in the Phong Nha Ke bang National Park

Adventure level:

Strenuous – fitness is required for 20km of jungle trekking and swimming in caves over 2 days.

Gear provided:

Vietnamese soldier trekking boots if required (we suggest bringing your trekking shoes just in case our boots don’t suit you) Head Torch, helmet, gloves and lifejacket. All camping gear.

Gear to bring:

Trekking clothes (long trousers and shirt), sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, swimming gear. Personal items and toiletries change of clothes for camp, sandals.

Hung Thong 3 days

This exclusive 3 days 2 nights tour starts by taking you on a trek in dense jungle to Hung Thong. Take time to explore the unique cave formations in Tron Cave and Hung cave.
You will then set your campsite for the night while still having plenty f time to swim and refresh yourself in crystal clear water before enjoying a beautiful BBQ dinner. On day 2 after breakfast, you will head to the Hung Thong spring, where you will enjoy some mouth-watering lunch. Then and explore Thung Cave and back to the campsite. On day 3, after breakfast, you will go to Ma Da Valley, swimming at Ma Da Lake and have a lunch there. Then head back to

Tiger Cave Series 3 days

No other trek in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is more authentic and remote than the Tiger Cave Series Adventure. These 3 caves are deep in the unspoiled jungle, far from the modern world. To reach these caves you will take a newly established route into the heart of the National Park. This route is an extremely authentic jungle trek to the Tiger cave Series, consisting of the “not so little” sister cave of Hang Son Doong, Hang Pygmy. You will camp, swim, and trek through the jungle for three days. You’ll walk and scramble the 1.6km through Tiger Cave, explore the 3.2km of grotto decorations inside Hang Over Cave, and abseil into the massive cavern of Hang Pygmy, the 4th largest cave in the world.

Ma Da Valley 2 days

This exclusive 2 days 1 night tour starts by taking you on a short trek to Elephant cave. Take time to explore the unique cave formations before heading back out on the trail toward Ma Da lake.
You will then set your campsite for the night while still having plenty f time to swim and refresh yourself in crystal clear water before enjoying a beautiful BBQ dinner. On day 2 after breakfast, you will head to the untouched Tra Ang Cave, where you will enjoy some mouth-watering lunch. Afterward climb over massive sharp rocks before entering this gorgeous river cave where you will swim 600m.

PHONG NHA TO KHE SANH TO HUE

Motorbike Tour 2 days

DAY 1: PHONG NHA TO KHE SANH

We start our tour at the Phong Nha village and will ride to Khe Sanh via the west Ho Chi Minh trail – one of our favorite stretches of road. The Ho Chi Minh trail was a legendary road of Vietnam which the Vietcong used to supply to the south during the war.

We’ll travel along the banks of the Son river to the top of the national park which is full of rice paddies, farmland and local farmers. On this journey, you’ll discover the background of Phong Nha Ke Bang national park and the West Ho Chi Minh trail – a remote spot where other tourists don’t get to go. We’ll ride the first 100 km through old growth jungle with amazing waterfalls and beautiful landscapes. A stop at Van Kieu ethnic hill tribe village will allow you to see and understand how these people can survive in the most remote place of Vietnam.

We’ll continue on and stop at another village for lunch before we ride another 100km to the south to the town of Khe Sanh. This will continue to follow the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail, through the tops of the mountain ranges and fantastic valleys with the fresh air in your face. There will be some stops at
historic relics of the Vietnam war and we’ll visit the Khe Sanh compass base before we check in to a hotel in town and have a cold beer to cheers our first fantastic day of adventure.

DAY 2: KHE SANH TO HUE VIA DMZ

On the ride to Hue is most from West to East we will ride along Highway 9. On this drive we’ll pass famous Vietnamese war sites like Dakrong bridge, Rock Pile and the Doc Mieu base.

We visit the Truong Son national cemetery (the biggest cemetery in Vietnam) to pay respects to the soldier who sacrificed their life in the war. After we cross the former border between North and South Vietnam at the 17th parallel, we’ll arrive at the Vinh Moc tunnel where the villagers dug tunnels to move their village 23 meters underground to survive during the war.

We stop for lunch at Cua Viet beach where you can cool off with a swim, before driving along the coastline to arrive in Hue around 4:30pm.
